ePowerSwitch-S8 (Slave) is a power distribution and control unit that enables power management of 8 devices through a RS232 serial connection. The controlled power outlets can be extended up to 32 by cascading up to 4 Slave Models.
This ePowerSwitch is ideal to conrol power through the serieal connection of a PC, a KVM Switch over a Console Server.

Features:

On, Off and Restart functions
Each power outlet can be turned On/Off, toggled, or restart through an RS-232 serial connection of a PC, a KVM Switch or a Console Server.
The nuber of controlled outlets con be extended up to 32 cascading 4 Slave models.

Two separate AC Power Inputs
To improve the security and increase the total current load, the ePowerSwitch-S8 has two separate power inputs. The first one provides power for plugs 1 to 4 and the second one for plugs 5 to 8.This feature is ideal for power management of servers with redundant power supplies.

Sequential power up/down
Avoids the risk for a power inrush to blow a fuse or circuit breaker in the data centre.
